About the Designer
Allison is a graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston with a BS in Architectural Engineering Technology. She is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, NCIDQ, is a past professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers as well as the American Society of Furniture Designers. She is licensed by the state of Maine, and is a current member of the Maine Interior Design Association.
In 1991 she accepted a position with residential manufacturer, Riverside Furniture in Fort Smith AR, working in sales, product development, and trend analysis. In 2000, after nine years in the wholesale furniture industry and the birth of her daughter Lily, she left Riverside Furniture to partner with her brother, Todd Beaulieu in the family business, Dorsey Furniture, located in Holden, ME and to open her design studio, Simple Solutions Design and Organization in association with the furniture store. In 2003, she launched her first independently designed children’s furniture collection. Her children’s furniture collections are marketed to furniture retailers and Interior designers nationally and internationally through Ligo Products, Mokena IL.
Allison’s husband Peter is an environmental engineer with the State of Maine in Portland. They and their two children reside in Wells Maine where they love the community, access to the lakes, coast, mountains, and cities.
About Our Staff
Deanna Williams, provides interior design support for all of the projects at Simple Solutions. Deanna is a graduate of Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute with a degree in Nursing, but has been in furniture and retail for the past 23 years. She is currently completing the course work for certification in Interior Design. Deanna brings extensive experience working with the many manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors associated with each unique project. When Deanna is not passionately working, she is passionately playing. She prefers to spend her time off exploring antique stores, traveling, camping, and hiking with her dog Oscar.
